Does my child need to know how to read before kindergarten?

Oh boy, this is a scary thought, right? Three of my four kiddos (pictured above) went to public kindergarten, my fourth child has been homeschooled since day one. Do you have a child going into kindergarten? I can remember being worried about my kids being ready. Are they ready academically, socially, and what should they know before going to kindergarten? Uggghhh! The stress!

Are you a worried parent?

You are not alone! Parents have so many things to worry about. I think the list can look something like this: is my child developing appropriately, are they learning enough, are they eating well, will they make friends, I am doing it all wrong, how do I support my child emotionally, and on and on!
